Hello, I’m Melanie MacMillan, the maker behind Into the Forest Embroidery and Into the Garden Embroidery. I’m based in the beautiful countryside of Loburn in North Canterbury, New Zealand.

In my garden studio I develop patterns, kits and classes to inspire you and your creative journey, with beginner-friendly designs and links to step-by-step tutorials. My classes are aimed at building your skills and helping you find your own path for creativity through embroidery and patchwork. I find so much joy in seeing the delight in your face when you achieve something you previously thought you couldn’t do.
